When you live in a Valley, you get familiar with mountains. Since we're part of the Flathead Valley community, when we choose to honor survivors of domestic and violence, we call it a Summit -- a time to pause and reflect on how far we've come and a chance to gain perspective on where we are going. Though the time spent on the summit is brief, it is expansive in scope. And, it is often best when shared with friends.
On April 18, 2018, we are offering survivors of domestic and sexual violence a chance to pause, to gain perspective on the hard work that they have done, and to be with others on similar journeys. We've seen the power of #metoo in social media; we invite you to join us for an afternoon when you can be present with others who get it without the explanation.
We welcome Rebecca Johns back this year to guide us with the topic "Listening to the Future." If you've heard Rebecca speak before, you already know you are in for a treat. Her interactive and kind presentation style is provoking and direct. She listens. She hears. She asks. She believes that you know way more than you think you do, and somehow, you walk away thinking she's right.
See you at the Summit!
