About Us
Strategic Plan
Our plan to serve survivors through 2030.
Our Vision
Safe and healthy relationships for all.

Our Mission
Empowering survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault in Flathead County through intervention, advocacy, and education.
Strategic Priorities
1. A new shelter facility
Vision: a safe and effective facility designed to accomplish our mission far into the future. By summer 2026: we will clearly define the agency’s facility needs, with input from survivors, staff, and community partners. By 2030: we will open a new facility that meets the needs of survivors, staff, and the community.
2. An engaged community
Vision: an abundance of partnerships, resources, and referrals creates a movement of support for all survivors in Flathead County. By summer 2026: we will invest internally in staff and programs to expand outreach efforts to new and unexpected partners. By 2030: all partners in Flathead County will have functional knowledge of the Abbie Shelter, our mission, and our services.
3. A sustainable agency
Vision: all staff have the resources and support they need to effectively serve clients while growing and developing as professionals. By summer 2026: we will refine and implement policies and practices to increase staff resilience and move toward sustainability. By 2030: we will be a workplace with clear, consistent roles, adequate staffing, and plentiful tools to retain and develop skilled people.
