Our biggest need is Helpline and Kids Group volunteers. Let us know if you're interested!
HELPLINE ADVOCATE
Time commitment: 1 twelve hour shift per week; 1 volunteering meeting per month
Position: available
One of the most vital of our volunteer positions, the helpline advocate is the first line of help to those who access our services. This trained, independent volunteer will offer information and support to those who call, and will be themselves closely supported by our volunteer coordinator.

KIDS GROUP AIDE
Time commitment: 2-3 hours per week
Position: available
If your imagination runs wild and your love for children is what keeps you grounded, consider investing in the children whose mothers attend our weekly group session. What better way to free Mama to do her hard work in group than for her to know that her children are being well cared for?
DATA ENTRY
Time commitment: 1-3 hours per week
Position: currently filled
Collecting data, while not glamorous, is what keeps our doors open. This task oriented volunteer will utilize data entry instructions to provide accurate record keeping for the organization, being mindful of quarterly deadlines.
DONATION ELF
Time commitment: 2 hours weekly
Position: currently filled
It takes a village to raise children, and it takes a person to organize the village. Target and the Flathead Beacon are our two designated donation pickup locations, and our donation elf will use their reliable transportation to pickup up, sort and deliver the donations to the appropriate location.

EMPOWERMENT EMPRESS
Time commitment: 1 hour every 2-3 weeks
Position: currently filled
If you have a knack for organization and you can feng shui with the best of them, your skills might easily slide into the empowerment empress role. This volunteer keeps the shelter supply rooms clean, organized and sorted, making items easily accessible to those who need them.
FINANCE VOLUNTEER
Time commitment: 2 hours weekly
Position: currently filled
Keeping our finances in order is the work that allows our work to continue. Our finance volunteer, experienced in bookkeeping, works closely with the executive director to track payments, disbursements and keep Donorsnap current.

GARDEN GOD(DESS)
Time commitment: 1-2 hours weekly in the summer
Position: currently filled
If you love to get your hands in the dirt, consider volunteering in the shelter gardens. Pulling weeds and addressing other yard needs will produce beauty that will be appreciated daily by many.
KITCHEN LOVE
Time commitment: 1-2 hours per week
Position: available
We all know that the little things can make a big difference, and few things exemplify this more than the smell of chocolate chip cookies wafting through an unfamiliar new residence. Our kitchen love volunteer will bring her peaceful presence into the shelter and offer calm conversation as she organizes the communal food pantry and tidies the kitchen as cookies bake in the oven.
RESPITE CHILDCARE
Time commitment: As available and needed
Position: available
Whether it’s running to court, looking for an apartment or job, or keeping up with other appointments, our clients have their hands full as they continue to make hard decisions to keep themselves and their children safe. Our respite childcare volunteers give Mom the chance to take a small break from changing diapers and bandaging boo-boos so she can attend other things (or maybe even take a nap!).

TRANSPORTATION AIDE
Time commitment: 1-3 hours per week
Position: available
Our transportation volunteer will pick up and drop off residents at a pre-arranged time, offering calm conversation and ease of transport to clients with local appointments or grocery needs.
